CLASSICALLY TRAINED

Monte studied classical voice for many years under Dr. Mabel Oiesen, Music Department chair at John Brown University. He has also studied at the University of Colorado School of Music and the Metropolitan College School of Music. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from John Brown University in 1976. During his undergraduate years, Monte was a member of a number of groups ranging in genres from madrigal and chamber music to opera, oratorio, pop, and soul.
